Born in France in 1971. Thierry Dalat sutied in an Art school from 1990 to 1995. Right after graduation he started to work for opera as a decorator painter. Since then, he began to share his life between painting and performing art. He became set designer and worked in different places ( England, France, Switzerland ) for dance, opera and theater .He taught for a while art and scenography in an architecture school. Since 2013 Thierry Dalat only devote himself to his personal work. He is working now in south of France. He painted landscapes for a long time, landscapes without any human presence. Not nature but a deserted world, neither in the past nor in the future, but another timeline, an imaginery time constructed arround few signs of our civilisation. He is developing now a portrait work, taking about the same absence, Timeless portraits with fragiles figures, without knowing if they are inhabited or abandoned. You can see his works in different art gallerys, mostly in Europe. His paintings have also been shown in different museums and art foundations.
